Testing is an important time for the student. It determines their level of advancement. After an oral exam of language and knowledge, the student must show progress in board breaking, form, as well as their defensive training skills.
When you first walk into our school you will notice that the students wear different colored belts, representing rank. This is part of the Martial arts tradition and is used to indicate the level of accomplishment and mastery of skills.

As you increase your level of skill, you will move up through the ranks by changing the color of your belt to symbolize your achievement. When begining your training at "Moon's U.S. Tae Kwon Do College" you will be instructed at your own pace. You start at white belt level,  when ready, you will be tested and invited to your first belt rank promotion ceremony.

After demonstrating your skill level in many of the basic moves you have learned, you will be awarded your first belt color.

This is a mark of achievement for the student and regarded as a serious event.
